Dr. Pete Olberding
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and moved
to Des Moines as a young boy. After graduating from Dowling High School
in 1981, I entered Creighton
University and matriculated with a B.A. in Psychology. In 1985 I attended
the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. During my studies there
I was fortunate to be elected by the student body as the American Student
Dental Association representative for the University, became class
president, and presented numerous research projects nationally and
internationally. In 1990 I started a one-year residency at the Dental
Branch of the University of Texas at Houston.
Since the end of my formal
education I have been engrossed in several aspects of dentistry and
have taken advanced training in such areas as: esthetic dentistry,
occlusion, and Laser Dentistry. I am fortunate to be married to another
excellent dentist, and wonderful mother. I have twin daughters that
turned 6 in November 2003. I enjoy most outdoor sports, however,
I concentrate most of my free time to my family, and the golf course.
